I swear to tell the whole truth, and nothing but the truth

This week I've decided to be honest with the one person I haven't been honest with in a long time: myself.  I had a good long look in the mirror, and decided that I haven't been giving myself enough credit, enough criticism, enough drive, enough time to just stop and think.  And in being honest with myself, I had to be honest with some other people too.  I don't know where this will lead me in the end, but I hope that it all comes full circle so that I can look myself in the mirror and truly be able to say: There are no regrets, there are no what ifs.

A New Turning Point

I think there is a time in a young life when they decide the path they want to go down.

I've had mine decided since I was five... Go to college, meet the man of my dreams, follow him where he leads.  Prince Charming hasn't exactly come knocking, and I find myself in my senior year of college.... while I may still be boy crazy (ha ha) I am thrilled none the less.

Why? some of my faithful readers may ask.  The answer is simple:  Because its my time to do what I WANT.  For the first time in my life... it is really clicking; I get to decide where I end up in my life, I get to choose if I stay in Oklahoma or if I go to Japan... or Europe.... or even.... Maine ( just thought I would throw it out there).

This upcoming school year is going to be bittersweet,  friends will come and go, the summer will turn into winter, and many hearts will find love, while other get broken.  But between all the highs and lows, it is my prayer that I keep looking at the glass as half full.

Pictures with the new camera

This is my sister Hannah, she didn't want to go out and take pictures, but she was a good sport anyways.  We had a blast at the photo shoot.  It was her idea to climb the tree.  She got some good ones in the tree. here are a few of my favorite (I haven't edited them yet)

This is the evil pooch. ya he looks sweet, but he's not.

I'm really proud of this picture.  I'm glad it turned out! And not edited thank you very much. lol.

Book ideas

Okay.... as of right now... Dillon has yet to find a publisher to tell his story. Once I get back to school, I am going to ask some artists if they are willing to do some pictures for it, and then try to send Dillon out once again.

I have a new story I am currently working on about a classroom of crayons. I can't seem to find the right intro... but my story is getting there.  I'm going to tempt to do the illustrations for this book... eek... pray for that. ha ha ha.

Another story that is still in the thought process is about an Aardvark named Archibald.  I imagine him as a rather stuck up thing, that wears the most expensive smelling clothes, after all his nose is SOOOOOO long, he has to tuck into his pockets so he doesn't risk tripping over it.

so... those are my ideas.  let me know what you think!

First Day

It was my first day back to work and.... the first SNOW of May!  Thats right, it in snowing right now as we speak and it is officially midnight!  Okay... its not midnight... but its getting there.

I am really excited about this upcoming summer and school year. I feel that I'm really going to challenged and pushed.  I feel that I'm being changed for the better, which is an amazing feeling, I know its not going to happen over night. but the end result will be beautiful!  (Hopefully)

I'm exhausted, I will write a story on here tomorrow.

A beautiful beginning starts.

I begin already to weigh my words and sentences more than I did, and am looking about for a sentiment, an illustration or ametaphor in every corner of the room. - Jane Austen

I have always considered myself a writer; I mean all it takes really to be consider a write is a pen and the ability to jot down words. I want to be a great writer. I would love to inspire, say/write something that can change a person's life. So what have I chosen to write? Children books. I find inspiration everywhere, from a box of crayons, to my little sister refusing to eat vegetables on her plate.

Hopefully next January, you will be able to see my first book.

But this blog won't be about my boasting on what I can and can't write, and how I write it; but I'm here to record my thoughts, stories, or other things that will randomly pop into my head. I hope you enjoy reading.
